Products destined for the UK market would usually, but not always, pass through the Distribution Centre used by the company in Thetford. This centre occupies an area of approximately 40,000 square feet.
Container loading and unloading as well as picking, palletisation and other distribution requirements are undertaken by experienced staff on this site. The Distribution Centre operates a FIFO stock rotation system as well as cycle-counting to ensure optimum inventory control.
Distribution from Thetford to customers is arranged through our hauliers own fleet of 65 vehicles and a national network of carriers. Deliveries are made in pallet quantities, using the pallet network, or in full 40 foot truck loads. Carton delivery is also offered via distributors within the UK for small volume orders. We can offer timed and next-day deliveries and the carriers are experienced in obtaining delivery bookings to ensure we meet the JIT requirements of many customers.
Deliveries are made using either rigid or curtain-sided vehicles as well as tail-lift vehicles for customers who do not have access to a fork-lift truck. Products can be loaded to customers' storage specifications on standard pallets or blue Chep pallets where required.
